An unidentified 20 year old man lost his life yesterday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with an Acton-Boxborough school bus in front of the Blanchard Middle School in Westford. It’s not clear whether the bus was arriving or departing. It was carrying a group of athletes from Acton-Boxborough.

None of the children on the bus was injured. The bus driver was placed on leave as standard policy, according to Acton-Boxborough Superintendent Peter Light. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital but was not injured, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

The District Attorney’s Office, Westford Police and the Massachusetts State Police CARS and Crime Scene sections are all involved in the ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed at this point in the investigation.
