The guests arrived quietly, sitting in groups inside Nashoba Tech’s newly updated dining area, speaking softly or not at all.

They were all military veterans who live in Lowell homes under the watchful eyes of peer support specialists at the Bedford Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The menu was a traditional Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Nashoba Tech freshmen and sophomores, guided by Hospitality Instructor Jeremy Bussiere.

The event is sponsored by John Conner of Chelmsford who’s been underwriting the dinner for several years.

Looking around the dining room, Conner noted, “Today we’re feeding 50 veterans.”
