Misty and Butter are two, 8-year-old calicos looking for a home together. Brought into the Lowell Humane Society last month when their owner’s health issues made it difficult to care for them, this bonded pair have proven to be inseparable.
“While we did try to see if they would do okay by themselves,” said the shelter’s Volunteer Coordinator, Marie Baillargeon, “They very quickly told us, ‘No, we are best friends.’ Misty does rely heavily on her friend Butter. Butter is the more outgoing of the two, whereas Misty is a little more shy.”
Misty and Butter have been together since they were kittens. They love to be petted and to sit on laps. They will do best in a home with older children and no dogs. They are available now for adoption at the lowellhumanesociety.org for more information.
