The Westford Police Department will participate in a virtual (online) community forum on Tuesday, July 7 at 7 p.m.

The conversation will elucidate existing police policies and explore possible changes in policy and practice with a focus on issues surrounding race, de-escalation and equal administration of justice.

The community is invited to attend and participate with questions or comments related to this topic in an effort to build and expand trust between the community and the Westford Police Department. Residents are encouraged to visit westfordjustice.org for details, registration and to submit comments. Residents may also email WestfordJustice@gmail.com to submit questions or comments.

The online event is co-facilitated by Anita Tonakarn-Nguyen and Emily Gilstrap and co-sponsored by Indivisible Westford and First Parish Church United.

Editor’s Note: Tonakarn-Nguyen is a candidate for a three-year term on the Select Board along with Tom Clay and Andrew Spanos.
