Nine-year-old Rambo is a male, calico cat looking for a home that can help him with his weight loss. At 27 pounds, he is considered to be at an unhealthy weight, according to the Lowell Humane Society’s Fundraising and Communications Manager, Crystal Arnott. “He will be looking for a family that can put him on an active weight loss program,” said Arnott. “So far here we make him eat his meals on a table so he has to go up some kitty steps to the table.”

Despite the extra pounds, Rambo loves to play with wand toys and can be vocal when he is in the mood to engage. He also enjoys being brushed and petted. Rambo will do well in a home with other pets. “Hopefully we can find a good match to put him on a ‘kitty boot camp regiment,” said Arnott.

Rambo is available now for adoption at the Lowell Humane Society. Interested adopters can call the shelter at 978-452-7781 or email info@lowellhumanesociety.org to schedule an appointment.
