The town of Westford will hold its annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11 beginning at 9:55 a.m. to commemorate almost 3,000 who lost their lives after the horrific attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Flight 93. Members of Westford’s police and fire departments, representatives of the town and state, and others will gather at the 9/11 Memorial in the Public Safety Courtyard adjacent to town hall. At this 19th anniversary event, there will be a moment of silence, sounding of the last bell, wreaths laid, and words of remembrance and appreciation for those that died and those that saved lives.
Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and face coverings are required to attend.
