Meet Azura – a 16 -year-old, female chihuahua looking for a forever home. Azura was surrendered by her owner to the Lowell Humane Society in mid-January and is described by staff as a shy girl who doesn’t like loud noises, but once she feels comfortable, is sweet and cuddly.

“She is very content just being with people; hanging out, relaxing,”said Lindsey Andella, Volunteer Coordinator at the shelter. “We put her in the office so she could be close to people. She is just such a sweet girl. She just hangs out and wears her little sweaters.”

Azura has lived in a home with other quiet dogs and gets along well with cats and other small animals.

Azura is available now for adoption through the Lowell Humane Society. Interested adopters can call the shelter at 978-452-7781 or email info@lowellhumanesociety.org to schedule an appointment to meet her.
