Residents in need of a COVID-19 vaccination, will now have another opportunity to register at Lowell General Hospital’s website. According to Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy, hospital officials will be adding appointments with the next shipment of the vaccine.

Kennedy sent WestfordCAT a notice this morning (Feb. 22) assuring viewers that the Lowell General Hospital vaccination site is set up and ready to go at 1001 Pawtucket Boulevard, Lowell (known as the Cross River Center). The site is open to all who are eligible in the region.

Residents from Westford, Groton, Dunstable, Pepperell, Tyngsborough, and Lowell can make appointments there instead of going to one of the mass vaccination sites or waiting for another site to open in the towns.

The website address for scheduling appointments is www.lowellgeneralvaccine.com. “They are currently fully booked, but will be adding appointments when they get their next shipment of vaccine,” according to Kennedy, a Lowell Democrat who represents the First Middlesex District.
