Henny, a 5-year-old long haired chihuahua with a thick, curly coat, was brought into the Lowell Humane Society when his previous owner relocated to a home that did not allow pets. Henny is a shy guy, but warms up after he feels safe and comfortable, according to the shelter’s Communication and Fundraising Manager, Crystal Arnott.
“He’s a little bit nervous with people”, Arnott said. “He and I have a pretty good rapport.
But, said Arnott, she has a good rapport with the dog who is fond of roasted chicken and will quickly befriend anyone who offers him some.
“So anyone who’s interested in befriending him definitely come with some rotisserie chicken for him,” Arnott said.
Because Henny is nervous around new people, there will likely need to be slow introductions and a couple of visits before he can be taken home, Arnott said.
