One year old Luna is a social and friendly Flemish Giant rabbit looking for an adult only home with no other pets. According to the Lowell Humane Society’s Volunteer Coordinator, Lindsey Andella, Luna is very intelligent and enjoys plenty of enrichment activities. “She likes being with people; very friendly”, Andella said. “She loves to chew her cardboard boxes. As long as she has plenty of stuff to do, she’ll stay occupied and kept busy and be a very happy bunny.”

Andella said that Luna’s last owners had a very hectic household with a multitude of other animals which caused the rabbit to become very stressed. Since coming to the shelter, Luna has become more relaxed and has enjoyed time with the shelter staff getting lots of pets. She is quite happy in her x-pen (exercise pen) but would also do well as a free-range rabbit in her forever home, according to Andella.

Luna is available now for adoption through the Lowell Humane Society. Interested adopters can call the shelter at 978-452-7781 or email info@lowellhumanesociety.org to schedule an appointment to meet her.
