The League of Women Voters of Westford will be joining with town officials for a virtual preview of the Town Meeting warrant articles on June 3, at 7 p.m. (Register at http://lwv.westford.org.)
This preview is designed to help voters learn about the community decisions they will be making at the upcoming annual Town Meeting on June 12 at 9 a.m. at the Westford Academy Trustees field.
In addition to voting on the proposed $129 million budget for fiscal 2022, Community Preservation appropriations, and several Zoning Bylaw amendments, Town Meeting will be considering four Citizens’ Petitions and a resolution.
Citizens’ Petitions include creating a new Constitutional amendment about limiting political spending and defining corporate personhood, developing a 55+ residential complex off Tyngsboro Road, amending a zoning bylaw, and a resolution to preserve and reuse the historic Town Farm property for affordable senior residential housing, and the Westford Food Pantry, while relocating the Westford Fire Department training facility.
