Kenai and Koda are two-year-old, bonded, guinea pigs looking for a home together. Both brothers are described as shy but affectionate, by Lowell Humane Society Volunteer Coordinator Lindsey Andella. Andella said many people don’t realize that guinea pigs live longer than most small pets, reaching a life span of 8 – 9 years.
The two brothers do not look similar. “Kenai is an Abyssinian guinea pig”, said Andella. “He has this swirly, beautiful hair. He’s tri-colored – light brown, dark brown and white on his nose. His brother is different looking then him. He is an American Smooth with a nice, smooth coat.”
Kenai and Koda are available now for adoption through the Lowell Humane Society at 951 Broadway Street in Lowell. They are opened 12:00pm to 4:00pm Tuesday through Sunday.
