The Select Board had a full agenda for their September 14th meeting. After deciding on a punishment for a local liquor store whose sale of alcohol to teenagers led to a drunk driving accident in Acton, the Board then received updates on $7.4 million in Federal funding aid, the Town’s debt schedule, and the plans for 51 Main St. and 12 North Main St. They also recommended the adoption of a partially self-funded health insurance, moved Special Town Meeting to WA Alumni Field, and appointed a new committee charged with increasing participation at Town Meeting.
